❤️ The 30-second CPR test
When someone's heart stops, you push on the centre of the chest hard and fast: 100 to 120 times a minute. Most people go too slow or too fast. Push to the beat for 30 seconds and see how you do.
Practise on a firm cushion, pillow or a training manikin. Never practise on a real person.
1. Choose how to test
How to hold the phone: kneel next to the cushion. Hold the phone firmly in one hand, screen facing up, and put that hand
on top of your other hand in the middle of the cushion. Keep your arms straight, shoulders over your hands, and push straight down, letting the cushion come back up after each push.
2. Beat or challenge?
Your phone measures how often you push, not how deep. In real CPR on an adult, push down 5 to 6 cm, using your body weight. Nothing is recorded except an anonymous score for our counter.
